Colours and Promises

1. Beach house key, 2. Callala Bay down the road, 3. Richard, Andrew, Nathan & Long, 4. Rock pools, 5. Callala Bay
For Christmas this year, a long lost family tradition was reignited! We hit the road and went away for Christmas to Callala Bay for a couple of days! The weather was bliss and the beach was so relaxing. It was so great to be able to sit back and catch up with the cousins and just chill. Only thing is turns out I'm extremely sensitive to the sun hence resulted in migraines and my skin becoming red and inflamed, basically a bad sunburn of sorts. One week of living on Aloe Vera and strong antihistamines later, my skin is now in the peeling stage and still red. Never again!

And this, will be the last post for the year and what a year it has been. By this time next year, I would have: graduated, gotten over my ATAR (be it good or bad), grown a little and learned a lot. Get ready for another year filled with blessings everyone. God Bless.

Ps. The super awesome clear DSLR pictures are courtesy of Long & Yvonne ;)

And so I took my turn

Behind the scenes shots during filming for Swimming Carnival
So it's official, school is out! Spent the last week worrying and stressing over the filming for my house's swimming carnival promotional video! We decided on the house theme a couple of weeks ago, 'Macarthur Marine', everything and anything sea related; pirates, sailors, sirens, mermaids, gods and goddesses of the sea, Spongebob and Patrick etc.Our storyline for the video was based around a 'Jack Sparrow travelling to the swimming carnival fountain of youth. Being able to spend time with the house planning and filming was so much fun, super proud of the result and really have everyone to thank. Can't want for swimming carnival 2012, and to any Hurlstonians reading this, BE THERE!

Bring me flowers and talk for hours

1. David Jones display, 2 & 3. 2011 Mock Trial Final, 4. Cake Pop made by Nat, 5, 6 &7. OOTD, 8,9, 10 & 11. Lingerie gifted from Nat
Finally had time to catch up with my old work mate Nat today! She actually had a little tea gathering and we tried nearly all 40 of her tea samples! Was brilliant! She just got back from Vietnam and bought me this gorgeous lingerie set, there's matching bottoms but that wasn't very internet appropriate! Earlier on this week I was lucky enough to be able to watch the 2011 Mock Trial finals, our Mock trial team did so amazing! Made me so proud to be friends with them! Assessments are finished for this term and the next week of school is going to be jam packed with filming for the Swimming carnival promo video! Can't wait!

This thing ain't been a walk in the park for us

1. How I've been spending most afternoons, 2. House, 3. Side mirror, 4. Thrifted bag, 5. Blocking crochet, 6.Crochet , 7. Oreo, 8. Favourite (out of two) lipstick, 9. VAPD, 10 & 11. Crochet
Started the day with a rescue mission, kinda. Oreo went missing and Mum could hear him whining, turned out he went exploring under the house and couldn't get out! Poor thing! I' currently on the look out for a second sewing machine, either an overlocker or one with a zigzag stitch capability, but since I'm so broke I'm looking for second hand ones, anyone? Overall it has been a stressful week, straight up. So many assessments, let's not talk about legal, ever (really, I'm pretty convinced I should drop legal after that assessment...) On happier notes I finally got around to learning how to crochet! Got the hang of it and even made up some designs myself. All I have is PE and English assessments this week then filming the promo video for Swimming Carnival the week after. Wish me luck! I'm going to go off and make some cheesy potato bake to enjoy while I watch some UFC A.Lo gave me.
